How it works
Freight is billed on the whole handling unit, so include the pallet itself and the wrap. A standard 48 × 40 wood pallet weighs roughly 35 to 50 lb, a EUR pallet about 25 kg, and plastic pallets range widely.
Weight also matters for equipment: many hand pallet jacks, racks and floors have limits, and so do trucks and containers. Next, estimate freight class from the loaded weight and dimensions.
Results are estimates based on typical industry values. Confirm final specifications with your supplier or carrier.
