How it works
Slotted partitions are strips of board with half-height slots that interlock into a grid. Pieces running the length of the box separate the rows; pieces running across separate the columns. Each partition takes away its own thickness from the space available, so cells are slightly smaller than the box divided evenly.
Partitions are cut a little shorter than the box inside so they drop in easily, and a little lower than the box height so the flaps close flat. If your cells need to fit a specific product, work the other way: start from the product using the bottle shipping box calculator.

What board is used for partitions?
Usually B-flute or chipboard. E-flute or chipboard saves space; C-flute gives more protection between heavy items.
